We offer three ways to create your own wallpaper mural:
Learn More1. Upload your own image or design. Your photo or artwork can be turned into a wall mural that’s unique to you. We can produce very high quality wallpaper murals direct from your image or graphic files: JPG, PNG, PSD, TIF, AI, SVG, EPS and PDF.
Learn More2. Browse our collection of images and designs. Get the perfect image or design in any size you need and printed on a choice of high quality wallpaper media. Browse from the 190 million stock images, vectors and 360-degree panoramic images.
Learn More3. Check out our map wallpaper. Create a map mural based on your town, postcode or local area. The Ordnance Survey map wallpaper is available using both modern and historic map data.
We can accept any of the following photo or design files for producing custom printed wallpaper:
Create your file at the output size you want your wallpaper mural to be. The image resolution at this size should be at least 100ppi to a maximum of 300ppi.
Please add 50mm to each edge to allow for irregular wall dimensions, so if your wall size is 300cm wide x 250cm high, we would recommend you set your file to 310cm wide x 260cm high.
Learn More Not sure if your image, illustration or design is suitable for printing as wallpaper? Just upload your photo or design file and let us know about your wall mural plans. We will evaluate your file at the wall size you specified and get back in touch with more details and prices.
When you place your order we will prepare and email you a proof for you to check. This proof will be a section of your image at 100% of the desired final print size so that you can inspect the detail. Once you approve the proof your wallpaper order will be printed and despatched. Should you decide not to proceed after checking your proof we will refund the full value of your order.
Learn MoreWe love creating patterns, but in the past, tiling them always involved a lot of trial and error to make the edges line up. Now, Adobe Illustrator does that work for you. Follow this simple tutorial, by Byron Hudson, that uses two vector images.

Learn MoreTo ensure accuracy measure your wall carefully in different places and note the dimensions. Few walls are truly square or perfectly vertical, you may find that you get slightly different measurements when checking the height or the width of your wall, just select the greater of the two measurements. Feel free to call us about an unusual room or difficult walls such as a stairwell.
If you have a sloping wall or a wall that isn’t square or rectangle then you simply need to measure the widest and tallest part of your wall to get the height and width. When you come to hang the wallpaper, you simply trim away the excess paper. Do you have a really odd shaped wall? No problem! Take a picture of your wall and email it to: support@redcliffe.co.uk
When measuring your wall, please be aware of any fixtures or fittings that may obscure parts of your chosen image! An extra bleed of 100mm is added to the far left and far right panels and to the top and bottom of your custom printed wallpaper panels at no extra cost, this extra ensures that you are easily able to fully cover your wall. The excess can be trimmed away after installation.
Learn MoreMake sure that the bare wall is sound, clean and dry. Remove all loose paint, plaster or old paper and fill all holes and cracks with filler, smoothing down the surface when it is set.
Learn MorePrior to wallpapering it's a good idea to "size" the wall as this seals porous surfaces to prevent the paste from drying too fast and it also aids slip and slide when papering. Beeline Primer Sealer is a highly recommended wallpaper "size" product as it does all of the above and also helps reduce seam splits, raised edges and bubbling of wallpaper.
Your wallpaper mural order will arrive with a set of instructions that you can follow to make sure things go smoothly when you are installing. Your mural is split into the minimum number of panels possible to minimise the number of joins. This means panel widths can be between 800mm to 1200mm wide, dependant on the size of the wall. Each panel is labelled at the top - Panel A, Panel B, Panel C, Panel D etc.
Standard Wallpaper is ready pasted - just soak each pre-pasted panel in water for 15 seconds before hanging.
Premium Wallpaper is paste the wall - apply undiluted adhesive to the wall surface to be covered.
Premium Durable Wallpaper is 'paste the paper'. Please us a heavy duty wallpaper paste, we recommend the following product - Mangers Heavy Duty Ready Mixed Wallpaper Adhesive.
Learn MoreSelf Adhesive Fabric is paste free, which means there is no need for messy and time consuming pasting.
Learn MoreYour mural is produced with the minimum number of panels to cover your wall, the panels are designed to overlap by 30mm and your finished mural will look great just as it is with the overlap. But for a close to seamless look you may decide to double cut your panels to trim the overlap. Double cutting is a technique used to obtain perfectly fitted seams.
Learn MoreIf you are not familiar with hanging wallpaper we recommend that you contact a professional decorating contractor who will be able to hang the wallpaper on your behalf.
